God of gods, Lord of lords, King of kings
We do not understand why. We cannot fathom such darkness. We have no words to offer comfort or reason to those now suffering loss and despair. All we have is You, Oh God. Please come. These families now broken and full of sorrow, in the midst of confusion, need You. Oh, Shepherd of Israel, come. Be not distant in their hour of trial. Search and find a way to ease their pain and usher in hope and comfort for the mourning. We mourn with them. In your mercy, Lord, hear our prayer.
